1. Scope

These terms of use apply to the use of the app “NachrichtenKlar” (the “App”), offered by Michael Hubert Becker, Feierabend Apps, Obere Dorfstr. 6B, 90427 Nürnberg, Germany, email: support@nachrichtenklar.app (the “Provider”). By using the App, you agree to these terms.

2. Description of the service

NachrichtenKlar uses artificial intelligence to present current news in plain, easy-to-understand German – with background, explanations of terms and relevance to everyday life. These are independent summaries, not the original texts of the sources. The original sources are named and linked.

3. No guarantee of accuracy or completeness

The content is created automatically (with the help of AI). This also applies to deep dives, translations, answers to follow-up questions and the Sunday audio briefing. Despite careful preparation, the Provider cannot guarantee that the content shown is correct, complete, up to date or free of errors. The briefings do not replace your own research or professional (e.g. legal, medical or financial) advice.

4. Journalistic and editorial content

The content of the App is journalistic and editorial content within the meaning of § 18(2) of the German Interstate Media Treaty (MStV). The person responsible under press law (V. i. S. d. P.) is Michael Hubert Becker, address as above.

5. Subscription (Premium)

The basic version of the App is free to use (4 categories daily: politics, business, society and sport). The optional Premium subscription unlocks all categories, deep dives, read-aloud, translation, the full Sunday audio briefing, the widgets and unlimited saving.

• Prices: €3.99 per month or €29.99 per year (incl. statutory VAT, where applicable). The price shown to you in the App Store before purchase is authoritative.
• Processing: Purchase and payment are handled exclusively through your Apple ID account in the App Store. Apple’s terms apply in addition.
• Automatic renewal: The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged within 24 hours before the end of the period.
• Management and cancellation: at any time in your device’s App Store settings (Apple ID → Subscriptions).

6. Rights of use

The Provider grants you a simple, non-transferable right to use the App and its content for personal, non-commercial purposes. Copying, distributing or publicly reproducing the content beyond private use is not permitted without consent.

7. Limitation of liability

The Provider is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and in accordance with the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence, the Provider is liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation (cardinal obligation), limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Any further liability is excluded. Liability for the accuracy of the content of the briefings is governed by section 3.

8. Changes to these terms

The Provider reserves the right to change these terms of use with effect for the future where this is necessary for good reason and does not unreasonably disadvantage you. You will be informed of material changes in an appropriate manner.

9. Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. Should individual provisions of these terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
